Brussels Film Festival in Flagey
Flagey is a beautiful art deco building and cultural centre in Brussels. From 23/6 to 30/6, June, they organize the Brussels Film Festival, 8 days film (focus on European movies) and party, with over 60 films in première, open air screenings and free concerts.
This year’s edition features a.o. the Icelandic film maker Valdís Oskarsdóttir with ‘Country Wedding’, the Belgian Olivier Boonjing with ‘Somewhere between here and there’ a poetic view on Brussels and Belgian young talents Fien Troch ( ‘Dirty Mind’) and Pieter Van Hees. A few European premières: Lukas Moodysson (from ‘Together’, ‘Fucking Åmål’) with ‘Mammoth’ and Michael Winterbottom with ‘Genova’.
When you’re in the neighborhood, enjoy a drink in the stunning Café Belga or have dinner in the Le Variété.
